I’m a 13 year old girl, and it was my first deer ever. It was about nine o’clock in the morning, the Sunday of the youth hunt weekend, when my Uncle and I were sitting in a big oak tree and top of a huge hill overlooking miles of corn fields. He asked me if I wanted to stay another hour and I said of corse! It was around 9:45 when I saw movement in the corn about 150 yards away from where we were. All I saw were antlers and I knew that I was going to shoot. I looked up at my Uncle who was siting in a tree stand to the right of me, and said “THIS IS WHAT WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR!”I got right on the rifle, and made a perfect shot. It was 12 points, and it was palmated. I was so proud of myself. Now I am currently going through hunting withdrawals!
