I went out to harvest a doe this fine day and it turned into something much greater! I was looking at a small buck across the field where I was hunting for about 10 minutes first light. When I was done looking at him through my binocs I noticed a big body deer walking in my direction. I pulled my muzzleloader up and prepared myself for the shot I’ve been waiting for all year. After the smoke cleared I saw him running across the field. The same time I was saying ” please go down!” He dropped and expired 40 yards from were I hit him. I found a broadhead in his shoulder from this bow season, so I got very lucky with this buck. I hunted long long hours from bow season up until this point. Hard work and determination pays off this year!
