On the second day of rifle season me and my dad went to the plind. firsd we seen a couple of does. Then at 7:40 we seen the deer so we looked at him with the binoculars and we seen that he was a nice deer. The buck walks in to the woods and I thought that I wouldnot see him agin one minute later comes back out on to the lane so I got my scop on him and put the 200 yard crods hair on him and I shot he dropped to the ground and I was so happy so me and my dad draged him to the house and that is my story.

First spotted him to my left, pawing and scraping the dirt through some thick brush. He started moving quickly to my right. I couldn’t get on him in my shooting lane, so I waited until he came to a clearing. I grunted at him, he stopped, and I took my shot. He dropped right there.

Had a single doe come through my shooting lanes early this morning and 10 minutes after here came this buck right on her trail looking for her. He was coming through fast and it took me a couple times to get it to stop and I shot it about 100 yards away. Made a good shot and it ran maybe 20 yards from where I shot!

Moved my stand after the morning hunt to an active scrape. That evening saw deer then heard a deep grunt, I aggressively grunted back and I heard the buck across the swamp make his way to me. He kept coming and made a perfect shot on the 10 point who went 40 yards and dropped. 20 minutes later I hear another grunt from the same area across a swamp. I grunted multiple times again and he came sprinting across the swamp. He came down the same runway and again I made a perfect shot, and he went about 50 yards. Two great bucks on public land in one night, a dream come true!!!

My 15 year old daughters second buck for the season. The buck came in cautiously after another deer started snorting. It wasn’t going to stay so after turning away I grunted to make him stop and that’s when she took the 40 yard shot. Her biggest buck yet!
