Didnt see anything all night not even a bird or squirrel. Through some harsh grunts and a few doe bleats and this guy came from my blind side in full sprint. Had about 3 second to react and shoot. Took him down with a double lung and top half heart shot, dropped 30 yards away.

My daughter finally scored her first deer, a buck during the youth hunt. She had gone out on Saturday with my husband and they didn’t see anything. I took her out on Sunday morning and two bucks walked in. A four point and a 6 point. They hung around for almost 20 minutes before she finally took the shot. She was so calm and I was super proud of her. I got the whole thing on video. It was perfect. Proud momma!!

First buck ever! After two encounters with him in the dark he finally came in during daylight hours, a little before 6. I shot him and he ran 50 yards to my right and crashed, but he got up and started running back to me. He ended up crashing right next to me and died 5 yards from my stand. No tracking required! Amazing experience.

He came in alone from east to west right under my tree stand and walked to my bait pile. Wind was in my favor that night.

After a cold rainy couple hours on Opening Morning I was about ready to call it a day. At about 8:45am the rain let up a little bit and I rattled this guy and a smaller buck in. They’d been running in a bachelor group for a few weeks. I’m pretty glad I waited out the rain!

Run-and-gun hunt intersecting this 2.5 year old buck between his bedding and food. Set up 30 yards down wind from a doe bedding area. This buck decided to check the doe beds on his way to food. Came in directly towards me and at 4 yards, gave me a hard quartering shot with shoulder protecting vitals. Liver pass through and this buck expired quickly 40 yard away.
