First year back in the woods in probably 18 years. Killed a small 4 point in bow season to say I got a deer this year. After seeing nothing I was willing to shoot I decided to go for a walk from spot to spot and just sit until I got cold and move on. At the third spot, just sitting on a downed tree, he came to 46 yards away and I dropped him where he stood, not a state record. But a good first “real buck” to me. I’ll be back in the woods every year from now on.
