At about 4:15 opening day, I noticed a buck about 80 feet in front of me. I sighted it in my scope on my 20 gauge shotgun. I shot & it stumbled & ran. I called my husband & said I just shot a buck & it’s horns didn’t fit in my scope. He didn’t believe me. It took me a couple of days to find it, across the road in a field. My first buck ended up being 3rd in State in the female shotgun category. My husband now believes me about it not fitting in my scope!
