All day sit with my dad in mom in a pop up blind. This is the first year with no APR and a lot of people in our county have been shooting smaller bucks, so we have decided to been passing on the “okay” bucks and waiting for the bigs. passed up on a few small 2 and 3 year olds and 1 minute before legal shooting light left we decided to start getting ready to leave and BAM! like a snap of a finger we heard a heavy set of jumps and a large “blow”. I pulled down the window slightly and seen this guy looking right at me. We have no trail camera pictures of this guy all year and no sightings of him either. I have been chasing to kill a buck with some mass and as soon as i seen how thick his beams were i dropped the window, put the rifle in the tripod and took a frontal facing shot at “titan” 16 3/4” inch spread, broken to hell and wish I could’ve shot him before he broke everything but still so happy to take my biggest buck to date and do it with my mom and dad at my side! 3 years in a row me and my dad have shot a buck on opening day together!! (This tradition shall definitely continue!)
