I’d been hunting the entire week and had seen a big fight between bucks as well as a wide 9 pt chasing does. I knew a resident doe was coming into heat and a buddy notified me that some does and a 6 pt were making their way around the lake. I saw a hot doe and the 6 pt roughly 40 minutes later but the 6 pt was looking elsewhere. Turns out he was watching the dominant buck closely as he chased the doe into range and ended up giving me an 8 yard shot in which I drilled his heart. He still managed to run over $150 yds before piling up. My best buck to date and an absolute Michigan giant and buck of a lifetime. Blessed and honored
