Colton Crots

This was Colton’s 1st year hunting. I made all of my boys wait until they were 9 to hunt. The weather was way too hot to get out for the youth hunt so he waited until now season. We hadn’t had a buck come in close enough when he was in the blind with the crossbow. This morning we sat in one blind and my dad took my older boys to our other blind. We saw a nice shooter but was out of range and on the neighbors property. The older boys passed this buck up in the morning with hopes he would come out this evening for their brother. Sure enough about 45min before dark he came out looking at our decoy. He spooked and started working away from us. I got him stopped and Colton made a perfect 160yd shot with the Great Lakes 350. A short 75yd track and he was ecstatic!
