I had been in my blind not even 10 minutes and was still getting settled when a doe ran into a field from about 125 yards. She was trotting fast and had her mouth open and tongue out. She walked in a U-shape, stopped at the bait pile for a few seconds, and took off again. I saw movement where she first came out, and I could see the rack in the binoculars. He was hot on her trail, smelling her scent and weaving all around. I made noises four different times and he would not stop. The fifth noise I made he stopped around 80 yards facing me. I dropped him in his tracks with my 270 WSM.
