After Another Fun but quick 10 day game of cat and mouse I have secured my #1 Target buck for this Season. Given the area I set up in I knew it was nearly impossible to pull off with my compound. so decided to Grab the ole crossbow, constant close quarters and sitting 5 feet off the ground in my climber with a ghillie canopy draped over the top rail put me in one of the tightest spots possible to harvest a mature Whitetail that i’ve ever been in without high chance of being busted. My gut was right given I never would have pulled the shot off this AM, had a doe hot on my wind 7 yards next to me and him 23 yards in front of me in a stare down. Got my quick and only window of opportunity Let the arrow fly and the rest was history. double lung and a pinch of liver he dropped 35 yards into the swamp. gross 168”
