This deer season has been by far the best season I have ever had. Last night around 6:30 I had this guy come through quick pushing a doe. I gave him the classic meh twice with no stop. I let my arrow fly and unfortunately, with him being on the move, caught him further back than I would like. I got down, grabbed my arrow, marked my spot and backed out for the night.
This morning my dad, son and I went out and found blood where I last saw him. From there he laid about 20 yards away! So glad I followed what my experience has taught me and let him lay down for the night.
