Hunting with my wife’s uncle on his property
We seen a four point early in the morning and decided to pass
Little did we know this would pay off big
We sat all day in a very comfortable ground blind, it was starting to get late and getting dark out about 530 this big boy comes walking into one of our lanes
I know this is a deer he would have shot but he let me take it, I’m very appreciative
Window open I’m shaking and trying to calm down, he is facing straight at me not giving an optimal shot so I’m waiting still trying to calm my nerves just then this buck starts to walk off and uncle gives a perfectly timed “meh”
The buck stops quartered towards us, I take one last breath, line it up and “boom” he takes off and a few seconds later we heard him crash
