I’ve been chasing this buck since the beginning of the season, and he finally showed up in the daytime. Friday night I decided to sit in a stand I haven’t sat in all season on my grandpa’s property and sure enough about 45 minutes before dark he came trotting through the field at about 120 yards. I yelled right before he made it into the wood line and got him to stop, giving me a split second to make the shot. After I shot he spun around and made it about 5 yards before piling up. My biggest buck to date! I was almost in tears when I walked up to him because I prayed to my grandpa at the beginning of the hunt to help me get a nice one and he made it happen.
