Took my old hunting partner out to the blind with me just to get him out of the house. In the blind less than 45 minutes when the first doe showed up. Five minutes later another doe showed up followed by the buck we had named finger guns because of how his antlers curved. He stepped out at 30 yards and it was all over he turned and ran about 40 yards before stopping and standing it the thick stuff. Watched him for 20 more minutes and then backed out since he was still on his feet. Came back in the morning and he was laying right where we left him. Thankful for a successful hunt with an old buddy.
