After losing my husband in June I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to go out and do something we loved so much together without him. Each and every hunt has been extremely difficult this year, knowing he’d be mad if I didn’t go hunting anymore I found the courage to keep going.
This buck entered the food plot about 90 yards away. As soon as he was looking like he was going to take off I hit him with a few grunts. He made a b-line to us. I got him to stop at 30 yards and took a shot. I clipped a branch completely missing him. He stayed around and actually came into 20 yards behind me where I was able to take another shot at him… this time i connected. The track job was extremely difficult with little to no blood. After finding my arrow we decided to call in a dog. Thankfully the dog was able to find him for me laying in the river. I know my husband was watching over me and was there with me on this hunt.
Im so incredibly thankful for this buck!
