Got set of for the afternoon sit around 330. At 410 had a doe run into the field I was sitting on from behind me out of the thicket. Being chased by a decent 10 grunting nonstop. Ran by me at 20 yds never stopping. Had no time to even grab the bow from the holder. Stayed standing up just incase he ran her back into the field I wanted to be ready. 10 mins later I look across the field 200yds and out steps a buck we called firecracker. Nose to the ground. I initially thought he was tending another doe. Then I thought he might be on the trail of the doe and buck that just ran by. So I grabbed my bow and got ready because I knew it would be quick if he came out. 5 mins later he trots out of the thicket on the same path. He worked across the field I drew he comes into the corner at 20 yds. Let the arrow fly. Gave him some time and 100yds later laid my Michigan monster. Got to enjoy the experience with my dad daughter and some close friends.
