This is only my 2nd buck ever and biggest one, my first and only other buck taken was my 2nd year hunting at age 11. Only had a few nighttime trailcam pics of this buck. Was sitting in a stand just into the woodlot overlooking the only ditch crossing between the 2 big woodlots. Had 5 does out in the cut bean field to my north that came out of the north woodlot. Another doe got chased into my woods from a different direction but didn’t see what chased her. Grunted and looked over at the other does in the field and they were all closer and then seen this guy marching straight across that field towards the crossing. Drew back but then he ran across the crossing at the doe to my left and then he immediately started heading west away from me. Grunted twice at him and then he whipped it around and came charging in right to one of my shooting lanes to the left for a 35 yard shot. Only went 35 yards further and dropped. I pass so many small bucks each year and it’s finally paid off after all these years.
