I never expected this guy. Nobody in the area that we know of has him on cam. About 4:30, he came in about 45 yards out, and he made a scrape right in front of me. I was tempted to make a long shot, but experience told me I know better than to do that. So I waited. He finished his scrape, walked straight toward me and then turned to walk around my tree. I shot him as soon as hit hit a clearing at about 10 yards. He ran about 80 yards, and I heard a crash, and knew he was done. I didn’t have a clue how many points he actually was, I just knew he was big. I told my dad on the phone “he’s at least 10 I think?” When I found him, I couldn’t have been happier with this guy. Probably the buck of my life.
