First year deer hunting, missed a deer during the liberty hunt. Hunted all through archery season with no luck. Opening day firearm season he wanted to be in the blind a little after noon. We were in the blind shortly after that. We sat all afternoon seeing nothing move, he dozed off for a little bit. He woke up to see a deer walking out of the tree line. We got window open and his gun set up, he did very well taking his time lining up his shot, even waiting for the deer to turn a little more because he didn’t like the angle he had. Made an excellent 75 yard shot and the deer only ran about 60 yards.
