Well I jumped a small buck on the walk in. made it too my ladder stand. Got settled in over looking a beaver pond and marsh thicket. Nothing going on except the smell of burning leaves and leaf blowers from the neighbors. Felt pretty defeated honestly with all that happening. Then I hear the neighbors shoot. Now I really think nothing is going too happen. About 15 minutes before dark the wind calmed down and I could hear something behind me in the marsh so I slowly stand up turn around and see this buck in the only open area in the entire thicket. Mind you he is looking away from me at a Doe walking his way so I rested my knees on the seat of the stand steadied myself against the tree and took the shot 60ish yard shot hit him perfect in the heart he stumbled and crashed 15 feet from ware he stood and it was over. He expired in the thickest of tangle possible. I was blessed too recover him with my Wife my brother, Nephew and uncle what a moment and what a blessing.
