I first spotted the buck around 8:30 AM when he came out, but I decided to wait and see what the rest of the day would bring. I ended up taking a nap in the blind, and when I woke up there were two bucks chasing some doe nearby. One of the bucks was a little bigger but didn’t stick around. I was hoping the other one would come back, but he didn’t the buck I shot stayed around for about 10 minutes before I decided I was gonna shoot him. When the moment felt right, I took the shot and the buck ran about 20 yards before dropping.
