Just after first light i had a doe and smaller buck come through under my stand, they crossed the creek and about 2 minutes later i heard a shot in the direction they went, so I let things calm back down, after 10 minutes I looked behind me and noticed a big bodied deer standing on the edge of some doe bedding, so i grabbed my grunt tube and did a little grunt sequence, and also sprayed some doe estrous, the wind was blowing directly towards the deer, about 5 minutes later I look back and he’s at 20 yds and closing, so i slowly grabbed my gun, let him walk under the tree and get to about 20 yds quartering away, then i gave him the ol meeeh, and put one in him, high shoulder, he kicked and ran across the creek , he barley made it to the other side and dropped 20 yds from the shot!!! This is my second buck this year and first time tagging out in my life!!!!
