We had decided to do a sit from 11 till dark and I started in one blind we set up just this year and after an hour or so I saw a coyote come across the river and when I had a good look at him I smoked him. After I had retrieved him I moved to another blind on the property where I had been sitting less than an hour before I saw a buck riding the edge of the tree line. I watched him for awhile and when I finally got a shot it clicked. I realized I hadn’t racked my bullet fully after shooting to coyote so I racked the bullet and shot the buck. Didn’t go two yards. Grateful to God for two gorgeous animals and one heck of an afternoon!!
