Good setup after first light in a new spot on state land and had a deer come in after 5 minutes of sitting down but could not get a shot. About 2:50 pm my dad saw a deer running on the ridge ahead of us from right to left and said get the gun up deer coming then he said I see antlers!! He crossed in front of us running then came along the swamp and my dad kept saying “shoot shoot” he stopped and I was able to get a shot off with the ruger 450 and he ran 50 yards and dropped!!! First deer ever and on state land !!!!!!!
