I figured the deer would be moving with the snow, so I headed up north to our property in Sand Lake. We’ve had a bear hanging around my stand the last couple of months, so I was uneasy going up there alone. After about an hour of sitting I couldn’t take the wind anymore, so I decided to I was going to leave early and that’s when I looked up and saw him step out 50 yards in front of me. It was snowing so hard that I didn’t know he was a buck until I got my scope on him. He dropped only 20 yards from where I shot him. Biggest buck to date!
