It was early on a Sunday, the only day we had to sleep in. I shut the alarm off and almost went back to sleep, but I knew my son, Easton, would never let me live it down if I didn’t get up. So I did. I woke him up, he was ready in 5 minutes flat. Out to the blind, set up ready, and eyes peeled. I told him there were some does in the field to the right. Easton said, “look at that buck coming down the hill.” I told him it was a doe, but a double take and nope, it was a buck! I grabbed the tripod, flipped it around, told him when he was on it to take the shot. Boom. It happed so fast. Easton made an amazing shot, the deer ran 50 yards and laid. What a great weekend!
