It was our first time setting foot on this piece of public land. We found a couple of nice stand locations utilizing google maps. On the way in there were acorns raining down from several trees and we found several fresh rubs along with a scrape. Deer tracks were everywhere. We found a perfect blowdown to get into overlooking the field. It was 5pm by the time we got set up. We were both shocked when this buck trotted out into the field at 5:30. Rowan made a perfect double lung shot at 50 yards. The buck went 75 yards and piled up.
