The wait is finally paid off. I've been watching this guy for the last 2 years be nocturnal. Had a good northwest wind yesterday blowing straight into me had a bunch of button bucks spikes and yearlings hanging out all day long. Left the stand around 12:00 for a small break and then took my wife out to dinner got out for the evening hunt. Had two button bucks hanging out and at 7:15 p.m. he stepped in at about 15 yards. Perfect entry but the arrow did a weird thing on exit to where he gave me little to no blood for tracking. Had to call in the tracking dog and thank God I did.
