My husband went to work and I decided to go out and sit in his box blind. I don't usually go out hunting alone, but I got brave and decided to do it. He encouraged me to go, telling me the wind was right for that spot. I sat out there reading a book, enjoying watching turkeys and small bucks in the distance. I never expected to harvest my biggest buck to date. I also received the biggest adrenaline rush I've ever had in my life when he and I had a good 10 to 15 second staredown. He looked absolutely majestic, standing tall with the sun behind him, 15 yards away. I'm beyond grateful for a freezer being filled with venison, and for this beautiful trophy buck going on my wall. He has a 20" inside spread. I cried with excitement when we found him 70 yards from where I took the shot. There was a very prominent blood trail. He is beautiful!
