Last night, I had the opportunity to harvest a deer we’ve watched grow for the past three years. What makes this hunt even more special is that our daughter, Alaina, got to experience her very first tracking adventure at just 12 days old.
We first watched this deer as a spike, and over the years, we had the privilege of seeing him grow into a beautiful 10-point. He was always an incredible sight to see, and knowing his story makes this hunt one I’ll never forget.
He’ll be preserved as a full-body mount, giving us a way to remember this unique, once-in-a-lifetime hunt that happened right in our own backyard. I’m incredibly grateful for the memories, the experience, and the opportunity to take this deer!
