My son is 8 years old it was his first weekend ever in the woods for a hunt, he had only scouted in the years prior. We were hunting the ground and kept getting chased around by mosquitoes and finally decided to work our way back to the truck around 6:45. We snuck up on a young buck while creeping out so we crouched down watching him until this buck stepped out. After watching him rake some branches and posture for a few minutes they closed the distance and he was able to thread the needle on a 20 yard shot. I hope this inspires someone to take a kid hunting this season.
