Northern Michigan big woods buck 🦌
All the off season work came down to this one. Scouting, planning, putting in the time when nobody's watching, and it finally paid off.
Had action all morning. Two minutes before I was going to climb down, I caught him walking in from my left, crunching acorns. Waited a few minutes for him to step into the opening. Heart shot, and he only made it 10 yards.
This one means more than any number. It's one month to the day since I lost my best friend, and I had his jacket on under my gear. I know he was sitting in that stand with me. 🙏
The northern Michigan big woods never hand you anything. Every one is earned.
