Had this buck on camera going back to bed. Heavy winds let me set up as close as I could. Had a small cluster of trees about 40-50 yards from the bedding area. Got setup 28’ up in the air in one of the trees. Was super windy all night and got a text from a buddy that someone else had just shot a good one. I hadn’t even put my phone back in my pocket and I heard three steps coming through the marsh. Out he stepped at 6 yards. Drew back and let the arrow fly. Heard him crashing through the marsh for about 5 seconds then dead quiet. Perfect heart shot, ran 30-40 yards.
