Killed my biggest buck last night. Came in quickly from my right. From the time he appears to the shot was probably 20 seconds before he disappeared into the woods. I knew it wasn’t a great shot so I recovered my arrow and backed out. Went back out in the morning and found blood for 50 yards before it dried up. I backed out again and called in a tracking dog. The Blooded Hound Tracking Service came out and found him quickly. He went about 120yds from the shot and bedded by my neighbors pond. I didn’t push him so he stayed close. The key is patience when you botch a shot. Unfortunately coyotes got to him and got some of the meat.
