I was hunting my best friends private property across the road from there family farm in Chesaning Twp a few miles north of downtown Chesaning. We have several stand locations, however im partial to the large pin oak tree just off of the east side of the heavily used bedding area. I was able to watch a young 7 pointer push 6 does off of there beds and proceed to chase them around for nearly a half hour all around and under my stand. 20 minutes after they had worked themselves out of view and ear shot, and with about 15 mins left of shooting light BRUTUS showed up! He came in south of my stand at 50 yards and at around 25 yards he gave me a perfect broadside shot and I hammered him. I got out of my stand went to the house for dinner, then came back over an hour later with my friend and tracked him just under 50 yards from my shot. It was an awesome hunt!!
