This was my first year back in the woods since I was a kid. I used to lack the patience for hunting. As i got older i felt like I couldn’t truly couldn’t call myself a Michigander until I bagged a deer. I had plenty of chances at does and smaller bucks on opening day, but i don’t think grown men should use “first deer” as an excuse to shoot a small buck.

My patience paid off the following evening when this guy came walking out of the brush and directly towards me. Once he gave me a clear shot at 150 yards my 350 Legend did the rest of the work.
