Ally went out for the opening morning of her last youth hunt as she is 16. Sat in the elevated blind at our property with her dad and had some deer come through around 8:30. Group of small bucks with velvet still on. Dad asked her if she wanted to shoot one of them and she replied “nah”. A few minutes later another group of bucks came out into the field and this gorgeous 8 point was among them. He has been seen several times with a nice 11 and a 13. This time he was the biggest of the bunch. He was too busy checking out the group of small bucks to pay us any attention so she took her shot at about 30 yards. Hit him good with her new Winchester 350 Legend and he dropped dead after 30 yards.
