My wife shot this beautiful 8 point this morning!
We almost slept in as there was a very light rain when we woke up, soooo glad we did not.
We were in a ladder stand and at 8:30 I decided to stand up to stretch my legs. As I did, I noticed what looked like a small buck sneaking out of a bedding area and it looked like it was taking a trail running diagonal to where we were. So I grunted twice and here he came! Only he wasn’t a small buck, I could tell at that point he was at least an 8 point.
When he got broadside at 30 yards, I stopped him and she smoked him.
He ran about 150 yards and left a difficult trail to follow, but we tracked him down despite the rain having washed most blood away.

I have to give her a lot of credit for hanging in there despite hunting for 5 years with very little success.
But this morning was a morning for firsts for her.
First buck, first deer from a tree stand, and first deer with her cross bow.
Congratulations babe, heck of a buck!
