I stayed out a little later than usual. I hadn’t seen anything that morning. I rattled, grunted, and used a doe call. I waited about a half hour in between each. After doing the doe call, I waited 20 minutes and then started to get out of the stand. I lowered my bow 22 ft., stood up, unhooked my safety harness, and went to take a step down, and he was staring right at me. I sat back down and he still came in to work a scrape and a licking branch. I pulled the bow back up as quickly as I could and luckily did not make any noise. He gave me a perfect 25 yard broadside shot. Feel very fortunate and love living in Michigan.
