It’s been a long season, I went out a few times with my mom during bow not seeing any deer. Then rifle season I seen no deer, I was starting to think the deer hated me. Muzzleloader season started and all I had were spikes. My mom went out that morning watching this 8pt for hours. She picked me up from school we went out. Sat for a few hours seeing nothing. Then a spike came out, then another spike. We seen the 8pt in the brush running after a doe. Then a coyote ran through. It started to get close to last light, when the doe jumped out of the apple tree my mom said I see a big deer behind it. The 8 jumped out. He was chasing the doe so my mom made a noise and stopped them! Instantly I pulled the trigger. Dropped him, 30 yd shot double lung. My 2 year dry spell is over!
