Ups and downs the last 2 days, yesterday morning brought us within inches of a magnum buck for a youth, yet even though we practiced we can’t practice having an animal in front of you and the rush of emotions that come with it, she panicked and couldn’t pull the trigger, we went home, shot re grouped found confidence and set off for the evening. Yesterday evening was nothing short of one of the best sits in years, multiple encounters with does (14) and a true full velvet giant that wouldn’t present itself. This evening I lost our tags in the laundry basket and after a half hour of temper tantrum I found them except it was to late to make it to the good property so we went with ol faithful where auburn has killed everytime she’s gone there and this guy gave her a shot well within bow range and she made it count, the amount of emotion in the stand was surreal, and she’s got her first mount going on the wall !
