We were sitting in our box blind watching a small yearling doe out in the soybeans. The doe continued to feed to within 10 yards of us when we saw the buck come out of the woods in front of us at about 200 yards. The buck continued to walk towards us through the beans up to the stand of pines we hunt. Once in the pines, it walked around behind some brush before it presented itself into a clearing at 70 yards. We grunted to get it to stop broadside and she put a perfect shoulder/heart shot on it. The buck ran 20 yards and piled up. Great first buck!
