Story written by Baylor’s mom, Ashley who was hunting with him. “What a morning in the woods. First, as we sat down to get ourselves settled in what we thought was a raccoon climbing up the deer blind was our beloved Mama Kitty cat that scared us half to death… she had followed us to the coop and wanted to join the fun. As we overcame from the scare 7:18am hit and a buck came out on top of the field. I told Baylor to put down the Outdoor Boys we have a buck in the field, he did and climbed on my lap to get ready to take a shot. We let him walk down the field just before entering the woods, he was limping the whole way (we knew it was the 10 point buck my dad, Baylor’s papa had shot at just 3 weeks ago with a crossbow and had unfortunately wounded) we knew we had to take him. I made a couple mouth calls and got him to stop broad side and told Baylor to pull the trigger. Smoked him! Deer went into the woods 40 yards and dropped!! Once my husband Dominic got there he confirmed it’s the buck that had also been shot in the back by someone last year. A 5 year old buck that’s been through a lot and we also have sheds of! Another one to add to the wall but this time by our 5 year old son Baylor!!
