So first off I have to thank my wonderful brother in law for setting me up! He built blinds to keep me warm and put in foodplots so I could actually see deer, normally all I hunt is state land so this was a big big change for me. The season started off horrible for me.. I get really bad buck fever and made two bad shots on does and didn’t make the recovery on either one.. down in a little bit of a slump! That all turned around when this monster of a whitetail walked in.. I settled the butterflies in my stomach settled my crossbow and let the arrow fly! 30 yard shot and he didn’t go 20!!! I love and I mean love Rut Daniels.. he’s like an idol to me! Thanks for sharing my wonderful story!
