So I’ve been getting this buck on camera since September every time he showed up I was either at work. Here only made one actual day time appearance and a few early mornings he showed up but last time I had him on camera was late October so I checked the camera on Monday and saw that he had been there last Wednesday into Thanksgiving morning. So I hunted most of the day Tuesday and saw nothing. So on my way to work yesterday I noticed deer were moving. So I decided to use a few hours of PTO and go give it another try. So right up till last good shooting light I didn’t see a thing. Then all of a sudden I noticed a deer nose cooking out of the small white pines and then a face then a body. When I put the scope on him is when I saw it was the 10 I was after. He came out lifted his nose to smell them started to turn and leave. When he gave me a shot I took it, he dropped then jumped out of sight. As I walked down my lane to find him he jumped up again and I took another shot at him and he didn’t go far. From the first shot to where he piled up was 40 yards. Couldn’t believe it that I got him.
