I had seen this buck from the opposite side of the field the week prior coming out of the east woods. Knowing I needed an east wind to get the stand on that side I finally got it. I made a Natures Best Deer Scents drag trail and got in the stand. 25 minutes after he came charging in behind a doe. I couldn’t get him to full stop but let one fly at 17 yards. I backed out and called a MIDNR approved dog tracker instantly. We gave him several hours and got on the track. We came up on him bedded and I was able to put a finishing shot on a buck of a lifetime for me. Extremely grateful.
