I had missed this buck the night before chasing does at 40 yards as I shot just underneath him and got redemption the next night at 20 yards making a rub on a horizontal branch. Had some great footage of him throughout the season. Then in the same stand on November 3rd I shot a giant 9 point that I had gotten pictures of the day before breading a doe, after watching a beautiful 9 point chase the same doe he had bread around In front of me for over an hour this giant had enough of hearing the grunting and chasing in his area and let out a deep bellowing grunt that scared off the other buck and his doe ran right under my stand to where she then spooked and he chased her past me at 40 yards where I made a loud grunt and he then stopped so I squeezed off a shot aiming a tad high that dropped right into his heart and he crashed through a top and his rack ringered around a 5 inch sapling and he expired around that tree. To say I was blessed this season was an understatement. He dressed at 198 and has a 26” in diameter neck. I guess him around 6.5+ in age.
