On my way out to my stand around 4,:00 p.m. I decided last minute I was gonna switch it up and sit in a different stand feeling like I might have over hunted the one that id been hunting out of almost all bow season. The stand I ended up at I had hunted the first week or two of bow season and didn’t see anything but a few does and a couple young bucks. As soon as I sat down I pulled out my rattle bag and within minutes had a small 4 pt. out in front of me. The wind at this time was blowing almost directly at me. He disappeared about a half hour later behind me down wind. Then as the sun started to go down about 530 I ratlled my bag a few times and grunted a çouple times and a minute later I had this guy right underbeath me coming in from behind me, he must of goty scent cause he had his nose up in the air looking around in my direction and started to trot off about 15-20 yards out to my right and I quickly grunted at him to get him to stop and he I’m mediately stopped and that’s when I took the shot . He dropped to the ground and kicked a few times before getting up and running into The woods where I seen him slowly start to walk and disappear in front of me. Waited about 45 mins and had a good blood trail and found him about 50 yards from where I shot him. Biggest buck to date.
