It had been a very long season of seeing no deer. I put a lot of hours in bow hunting with no luck. Gun hunting was the same results. I decided to change my luck with a new gun. I bought a 450 Bushmaster on a Black Friday special and sited it in that afternoon. My dad said you might as well sit in my blind, you have a better chance of seeing something. About 8:30 on the last morning I see a few does in the woods and then boom, the guy hunting next door shoots and the deer are gone. About a half hour later I’m about ready to give up and head in and 80yds out in front of me this buck is standing there. The New 450 did the rest, a heart shot and he dropped. Thank my dad for giving me a chance at a deer and what a last day it was. One I will remember forever!
